It's never a good thing when you get to work and your coworkers send you home because you look really bad.

Even worse, is when you don't argue and take their recommendation.

Ugh.  Ooky.

My baby is 14 years old today.

My brother and sister-in-law are taking care of her in Michigan and they're doing the Lake Avalon thing.  So they're chilling, swimming, picnicking, visiting, boating... generally just having a good time.

I couldn't ask for better for her.

Happy Birthday Hannie!

My workout buddy is leaving for home tomorrow.  Over the next two months, before I leave, I'll see more buddies leave.

I'm happy for them but sad for myself, too.  I enjoy their company and will miss them.

I guess there's always FaceBook.

The going-away party was at Subway tonight.  It's the only restaurant that didn't close and, even then, it'll close in September unless General Petraeus decides to rescind the no extra AAFES stuff that General McChrystal did. I guess the reason it didn't close is that it had JUST opened when all the other ones were shut down.  It's way on the other side of the base and hard to get to (MUST have a vehicle) so we don't go there very often.

We had a great time laughing and joking, though.  A fitting way for my buddy to share his last meal in country.

Take care, man, and get home safely.

That's what I feel when I think about tomorrow.

Why, you ask?

After my slacktastic week last week because of travel, I'm starting up my twice a day workout routine again in the morning.

Tomorrow it's LEGS in the morning and CHEST in the evening.  The morning workout always includes abs.  Plus, if I'm really motivated, I'll do some cardio.  Not too sure I see that one happening.

At least, not tomorrow.

Hannah got accepted into the creative writing program at the Interlochen Arts Academy.

On the one hand, I'm really proud of her for her accomplishments and tenacity in putting that package together.  What an honor just to get accepted.

On the other hand, it's going to be a big money drain for the next four years.

I think it'll be worth it, though, if she continues to work hard and publishes like she wants to do.

Who knows?  Maybe I have the next J.K. Rowling on my hands.  Heh.

Remember me when you're picking my nursing home, honey, okay?
