Fumbling around blind

by blondtwin Email

Some days I wonder how I even make it to work.

I got in my car to head to work this morning and one of the radio stations was talking about St Patrick's day.  So, without thinking, I turned my car around (I was less than 1/2 mile from my house) and headed home to throw on a green shirt.

Yeah... I didn't realize until I got to work that it's not QUITE the 17th yet.

Dangit.  Here I am, in my nice green shirt, wondering what the heck I'm going to wear tomorrow since my closet isn't exactly overflowing with green.

My son, yesterday, pointed out the color thing to me.  Irish catholics, he said, wear green.  Irish protestants wear orange.  Well, while I have  Irish roots and am no longer affiliated with the catholic church, I still wear the green.

But you'll never catch me rooting for Notre Dame.   Well, maybe against Ohio State, but that's it.

oh, come one .. you know you want to ..

"Cheer, cheer for Old Notre Dame,
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send a volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky!
What though the odds be great or small,
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching
Onward to victory!"

As far St. Patrick's Day .. here's my cultural song for the day.
