30 years

by blondtwin Email

Thirty years goes by so quickly.

It was 30 years ago today that my sister Jeri Lynn died.

It's weird how the human mind works.  It protects you, blurs memories of horrifying things, but, it preserves life-changing moments as if they were blu-ray clear.  There are small snatches from that day that I will never forget.  Sheila and I were playing a game on the dining room floor, the neighbors had come over and were seated in the living room (they already knew that Jeri Lynn had died), the look on my mom's face when they told her on the phone.  All that, I can remember.

But can I remember a password that I haven't used in a month?  No.

Bah, my brain is the next thing to useless.

Sigh.  Maybe my brain hard-drive is getting full.  :)
