I had no idea how much I relied on being able to communicate via email until it was taken away today.  I couldn't approve timesheets and, with all the critical stuff that's been going on recently, I couldn't access my email.

My company was bought by CGI.  Most of the time, companies are allowed to keep their brand names because it's one of those "well known" and "recognized" names.  Not us.  No more Oberon and no more Stanley.  We're CGI.

So, in my paranoia because the company just got bought, etc,  by the end of the day I had myself half-convinced I'd been let go and nobody told me.

Sigh.  Yeah, it just turned out that my email account expired and they had to extend the date on it. 

I'm such an idiot sometimes.
