Ethan got his driver's permit today.
I can't express how proud of him I am right now. He did it as he does everything else, in his own time and on his own terms, but, I'm happy that he is finally ready.
I may be singing a different tune when I get my insurance bill or if he dings up the vehicles, but, right now, I'm a very happy and proud mama.

as for understanding your kids, i think that's something all us parents struggle with at times. then again...we didn't think our parents understood us either, right? :)
