I'm from Detroit. We have as little public transportation there as we can manage and we're okay with that.

When I moved to the DC area, I had to learn (reluctantly) how to use the train/bus system if I wanted to get anywhere within a reasonable amount of time.

I live on one side of the base here and work on the other. It's only a few miles, but, the craptasticness of the roads, low speed limit, and unreliability of the shuttle buses, makes going to and coming from work a real chore.  Tonight, I waited about 40 minutes for the bus and it took about 25 minutes to get from one side of the base to the other after that.

There's got to be a better way. That, combined with 13 plus hour workdays, had me a bit cranky today. I think I'm going to change my work schedule.

Who needs breakfast, anyways?
