Yes, you may have guessed it ~ I got promoted again!

I'm going to put my head in the sand and pretend that I was their first and best choice for the job and that most everyone they asked to do the job didn't turn them down flat.

I'm going to be the new country manager and technical lead for my company.  That requires me to live in Bagram, which I'm not too happy about.  But, it's a decent pay raise, and I have to think long-term for my career.  This is a good move.

PLUS, I don't have to extend! Woo!

So, now I tease everyone that I'm going to become a professional cat-herder, since I'll be keeping track of about 40 people in-country and I.T. people are very much like cats in that they like to go off and do their own thing.
