What's wrong with this picture?

I think I can safely say that people are generally creatures of habit.

When I get up at the same time every morning, I tend to see the same ladies in the shower trailer getting ready for their day. Some of them I’ve had pretty cordial conversations with, chatting about whatever comes to mind. So, we generally see each other in various stages of dress.

On to the embarrassing part. One of the ladies that I usually chat with in the morning saw me the other day in the DFAC as we were getting ready to sign in and she blurted out, “Hey Shawn, I didn’t recognize you with your clothes on.”

Oh yeah. That didn’t draw any attention. I can only imagine what the guys that were crowded around us in line were thinking. Very likely, the WRONG thing, though.  Yeah, I'm pretty certain of it.

I can SO imagine some of the things running through the minds of the guys that withnessed this conversational faux pas. Jamie says she bet's that you turned as red as a boiled lobster ;)

hahahaha....I can just see you reacting to that comment!

It was much worse when it happened to me years ago, though. A wife of one of our pilots saw me around lunch time, as she was coming out of our hotel swimming pool with her daughter. Later that day, I ran into her & her husband in the hotel lobby. He didn't know I met his wife earlier in the day, so he introduced her to me. Before I could say anything, she immediately said to me: "You probably don't recognize me with my clothes on." You could have heard a pin drop as I cringed.
