What am I, Minnie Mouse?

Today we went to the firing range to enroll a bunch of local nationals. They're doing training and weapons firing today, so we followed them to where they were.
It was a rocky beginning, because we need shade for our equipment to function properly, but the Army and Marines that were there with us came through. "Adapt and Overcome", I think is one of the Marines' mottos.
So, things got rolling, I went along with a couple guys to get chow for everyone, and I was standing talking to the biometrics trainer when the first Afghan approached.
He had a camera in hand and took several pictures of me. Then he handed the phone to his buddy and stood right next to me. All without saying a single word to me. So, they showed me the picture of him standing right next to me and then dashed off to get back into line where I saw a crowd of them huddled around this guy's camera.
Several more approached wanting pictures, but I had had enough. I asked the interpreter to tell them no more pictures and then stood smack dab in the center of the US Soldiers. I admit it, I was hiding. I knew those guys wouldn't approach me there.
I got to feeling a bit like the costumed characters in the amusement parks, though. People just dash up, take a picture with you and then leave.
Oh maaaaan. I could have charged for those pictures. Dagnabbit.
